Firstly let us define Quality as opposed to Specification

We believe that Quality is about how well we build;  how level and flat surfaces are, how perfect the plastering is, and how everything works. Quality should be no different whether you are buying your first starter home or we are building you a bespoke mansion.

Specification on the other hand is about the standard of the fittings, but it may also include the quantity of TV and telephone points or home networking. Specification will vary considerably with the price and possibly location of your new home.

About Quality

All new homes are built to National Standards including Building Regulations and either NHBC or an alternative warranty provider’s requirements.

At Fairgrove our aim is to build to a very high quality level which we set as at least 10% better than NHBC Standards.

At Fairgrove we only build bespoke homes or small developments and so our designs are constantly being updated  to incorporate the latest national requirements including energy efficiency.

You may be surprised that on large housing developments many National Companies build to much lower requirements. This is because the building regulations are set when the scheme starts, and if for instance that was 2002 that is the level to which the houses could be constructed. This will have a major effect on energy efficiency in particular.

Quality is also about customer care.

To know if we are getting it right we ask our customers. Our recent surveys have shown a massive 93% would recommend a Fairgrove home, and would buy from us again.

These figures compare very favorably with the national average. The Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual survey shows that around 76% of purchasers are satisfied with the overall quality of their new home.

Although we’re very proud of our success rate, we’re not complacent. We continually review our procedures to ensure our business continues to deliver an exceptional service to our customers.

As a local business with a strong focus on providing an outstanding experience for all our customers – from the moment of first contact to the day they receive the keys, and afterwards –our customer surveys clearly demonstrate that we are achieving our mission of building quality new homes designed for the individual tastes and requirements of our customers.

About Specification.

Specification, i.e. the type and quantity of fittings we include in a new home will vary from site to site and from housetype to housetype.

Generally the more expensive the house the higher the specification. This can be just as much about style and design as about the quality of those fittings. If we are building you a bespoke home this is the area where you can either save money or completely go to town.
