Spondon fits the bill for families

9 February 05

When it comes to combining town and country living, it seems that Spondon fits the bill. As a result, local property developer, Fairgrove Homes, is now starting work on a new development in the Derbyshire village that will see four large detached houses being built in West Road.

“Research shows that more families are looking for the safety, security and peace of mind of a semi-rural retreat, yet they do not want to forego the advantages of city life,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove Homes. “Spondon is a top spot as it offers families the chance for a comfortable and worry-free life without compromising their requirements for city amenities.”

The homes – due for completion in Autumn 2005 – will be built with an eye to the local area. “Consequently, the architecture and materials used in the development complement the surrounding conservation area perfectly,” says Steve. “Our aim is to build homes that fit with the local area and do not negatively impact on the environment. We’re happy that we are achieving this aim with our development here in Spondon.”
