Time is running out, warns Fairgrove boss
Ilkeston, Derbyshire, and Mansfield, Nottinghamshire [8 November 2005] It’s the time of year when people start making lists: Christmas present lists, jobs to do before the in-laws arrive lists, food lists, party lists…
But these aren’t the only plans being hatched by some North Notts folk. “Many people want to start a new year in a new home,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove Homes. “We often see a surge in interest at this time of year as people realise their existing home is not really suitable for catering for a handful of excited children, grandparents and the host of relatives and friends that just seem to ‘drop in’ over the festive season.”
Fairgrove reports that many of its developments in the region are seeing a growth in the number of people who are visiting its show homes and talking about where they would put the Christmas tree or host New Year’s Eve drinks. “It’s natural that some people are panicking that their houses won’t be big enough to comfortably hold guests,” says Steve. “But time is running out. People will have to move quickly to be in the home of their dreams in time for a fantastic New Year’s party.”
One development attracting the attention of many in the North Notts region is Fairgrove’s collection of new homes at The Bruntings in Mansfield. “This is a small, select development of just 31 flats and houses,” says Steve. “Unlike larger developments in the area, our priority has been to offer something individual that is targeted at the needs of locals and investors. The homes vary in size from two-bedroom apartments to two and three-storey town houses, and are ideal for young professionals and families.”
To help new home-owners celebrate in style, Fairgrove has launched some generous discounts for two of the homes in The Bruntings. “Plot three of the Bruntings is ‘The Elmswell’ 4 bed mews, which has three bathrooms, a balcony to the master bedroom suite as well as an integral garage,” says Steve. “This is for sale at £179,950 less a discount of £20,000 if contracts are exchanged before Christmas.” For those looking for a three-bed home, Fairgrove is also offering a discount on plot 11. “This is ‘The Barrisdale’ design and is a three-bed semi-detached with a utility room and an ensuite to the master bedroom. This is for sale at £149,950 less a discount of £20,000 if contracts are exchanged before Christmas,” adds Steve.
