New era for Ilkeston property developer

Ilkeston, Derbyshire [19 July 05] Ilkeston-based property developer Fairgrove Homes is heralding a new era with the expansion of its staff to include a new sales co-ordinator.

“The new homes market is highly competitive, so we differentiate ourselves on the basis of providing the best customer experience,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove Homes. “This means having the best staff working behind the scenes to co-ordinate the work of our advisors and negotiators based on our developments throughout the region.”

Elizabeth Mansell, an experienced customer service administrator, has taken on the role of sales co-ordinator, based at Fairgrove’s head office in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. “It’s an interesting and varied role,” says Elizabeth. “On a daily basis, I could be processing reservation forms, liaising with sales advisors and other departments, or instructing contractors about clients’ colour and design requirements.” Elizabeth can see how her role impacts on customers: “I’m responsible for ensuring clients receive welcome packs and sales manuals providing all the information they need for settling into their new home, and I also act as the interface between customers and contractors to ensure clients are 100% satisfied with their new house. It’s good to work for a local new homes builder that prides itself on building a more individual and unique house than that offered by the larger home developers.”

A self-confessed petrol-head, Elizabeth lists her interests as Formula One racing, DIY, gardening and wine tasting. “I seem to have found a company where the staff are as enthusiastic about motor sports as I am,” she says. “And it’s good to work with people that have a similar attitude to good wine!”
