North Notts return for home developer

East Midlands-based property developer Fairgrove Homes is poised for a major return to North Notts, just several months after the successful completion of its development at Dobson’s Mill, Sutton in Ashfield.

The company is now beginning work on a new development of 30 properties at The Bruntings on Eakring Road in Mansfield, and hopes to have homes ready for people to move in during July 2005. “We’ve deliberately targeted July as the date for the first homes to be completed, because this is a popular time for families to move home, with minimal disruption to their children’s education,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove Homes.

Fairgrove earmarked Mansfield as an area ripe for the development of new homes because, as Steve says: “The North Notts area in general – and Mansfield in particular – is up-and coming.” He adds: “EU investment and national government assistance has made the town a popular location for businesses to invest, and we’re responding to this influx of money by providing a complete range of quality homes to meet the needs of an increasingly affluent population.”

The new development is designed with the needs of families and young professionals in mind – and a mixture of two, two-and-a-half and three-storey town houses will be constructed along with some spacious two-bedroom apartments.

“Eakring Road is a great location for working people,” says Steve. “There are excellent road communications to the rest of Nottinghamshire as well as Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Meanwhile, closer to home, the town centre – with all the major High Street stores – is just over a mile away, giving home owners the opportunity either to drive or walk to the shops.”
