New sales advisor for Fairgrove Homes
25th February 2004
East Midlands property developer Fairgroves Homes has been expanding its sales force in response to increased demand for the company’s new houses. One of the latest additions to the company’s staff is Ian Mackenzie, Sales Advisor at Fairgrove Homes’ Olders Valley site in Woodville, Derbyshire. Ian, who describes himself as “a keen Derby County fan – but don’t hold that against me”, brings with him around eight years of experience in the property industry.
Having worked for a national chain of estate agents in locations around the East Midlands for approximately five years, Ian then worked for Barrett East Midlands, selling new homes for three years. Working for these companies, he developed good customer service skills and a strong understanding of what today’s home buyers are looking for. “I understand what customers want and work to help them meet those needs,” he explains.
As a newcomer to Fairgrove Homes, Ian reports that he enjoys selling a product that is unique. “All of Fairgrove’s homes are different and the company seems to take a real pride in developing high quality homes to suit the needs of individual customers. Unlike larger organisations, Fairgrove Homes doesn’t seem to be rushing to targets, so has more time to complete unique features properly.”
Ian’s first task with Fairgrove Homes is to sell five new-build houses in Olders Valley, Woodville. “These are large, detached, executive properties with a number of unusual features,” he says. “For example, one house is a five-bedroom detached house with a garden room built into the back of it. Another is a split-level property with a double garage in the basement. The ground floor can be used for multiple purposes, such as a gymnasium or a child’s play room. As these are in a non-estate location, and built of stone, they will be highly sought after.”
With a new year just beginning, Ian is looking forward to the challenges ahead. “I’ll be working proactively with our clients’ solicitors to ensure that home buyers can move into our properties as soon as possible. I’m enjoying meeting new customers, and am looking forward to being involved in some of Fairgrove Homes’ other developments in Shipley Park and Loscoe later in the year,” he says.
Ian works on site at Olders Valley, Woodville, from 10.30am to 5.30pm, Friday to Sunday each week. He can be contacted on 01283 552333.
