New sales advisor for Dobson’s Mill
16th February 2004
A love of history and an interest in old buildings combined when Jennie Spedding, one of Fairgrove Homes’ newest sales advisors, entered her role at a property development on the historic Dobson’s Mill site in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
“I decided to work for Fairgrove Homes because I was interested in both the product and the people the company comes into contact with,” says Jennie. “Smaller development companies tend to take a lot more pride in their work – and as a result I’m selling a better product! In my role as a sales advisor, my suggestions are listened to and I can see that the company has a two-way conversation process with its staff.”
As a history buff, Jennie is finding it a pleasure to work on the Dobson’s Mill development. “With a total of 24 properties, I get the best of both worlds,” she explains. “The development of the old mill properties has ensured that the history and the quirkiness of the place remains, while at the same time the new-build houses are in keeping with the rest of the development. The whole site has a good atmosphere and it’s great to be working in the heart of what feels like a little village. People often visit the development and it’s always nice to hear little snippets of information.”
Jennie is no stranger to the housing market, as she has worked in the homes industry for 10 years. With roles at estate agents, in new developments and through selling apartments, she has developed a good eye for the needs of today’s house buyer. “The property industry is a learning curve and there is always something new to discover,” adds Jennie. “From working with other companies – and through being a consumer – I strive to provide a high level of customer service. I know the standards that I expect and I work to reach those standards with my customers. Customer satisfaction is much easier to achieve with a small builder – and I want my customers to be happy with the whole package they receive from Fairgrove Homes.”
Jennie works on site at Dobson’s Mill, Sutton-in-Ashfield, from 10.30am to 5.30pm, Friday to Monday and 2.30pm to 5.30pm each Monday. She can be contacted on 01623 514959.
