Jobs growth at Ilkeston firm

5 November 2004

As the East Midlands housing market continues to ride a wave of growth, Ilkeston-based property developer Fairgrove Homes has expanded its staff base.

“The housing market requires the skills of a diverse range of people,” says Steve Midgley, Managing Director of Fairgrove Homes. “We’re delighted to have some new faces on board to help us grow further.

Fairgrove’s newest members of staff are Kieron Clay, the company’s new Customer Care Adviser, and Man Sang Ng, the company’s first ever Land Assistant.

With a solid background in the House Building industry, Kieron’s role in the Fairgrove team will be to ensure quality control and customer care. “Having worked in the industry in Surrey, this was a great opportunity to progress in the House Building sector in the East Midlands,” says Kieron. “I’m a people person, so I find it very rewarding to meet with customers and liase with them to ensure they are satisfied.”

Man Sang Ng joins the company at a time when it is actively looking for land to enable further future growth. As a BSc Planning & Residential Development student from Nottingham Trent University, Man will be working with Fairgrove for a year before returning to his studies. “My main role will be to search for possible sites to develop new homes,” he says. “This role enables me to put my academic experience into practice, and will give me vital hands-on workplace experience. The challenge of finding and investigating the potential of both brown field and green field locations is never dull.”

“We’re enjoying a period of very real growth,” says Steve. “The inclusion of Kieron and Man in the Fairgrove team will help ensure we continue to develop while maintaining our commitment to quality.”
