September date for ruby couple

Home is where the heart is. And for Derbyshire couple David and Heather Wilcox, their heart is definitely in the East Midlands. After nearly forty years of marriage, the couple are now making plans to move into their new home at Olders Valley, Woodville.

“Having sold our house in June, we were looking for something special, but still in the area,” says Heather. “The house at Olders Valley spoke to us immediately. It’s located on a very small development, and as we’ve been involved from early in the project, we’ve been able to put our stamp on it. We’ve opted for an English country house feel with a traditional fireplace in the living room and wooden floors in the lobby.”

Olders Valley comprises five stone-built detached properties including the Cotterdale – a luxury four-bedroom home – and a luxury five-bedroom Brompton design. Like all properties in the development, Heather and David’s new home features kitchen appliances from Neff as well as bathrooms from Porcelanosa.

“We’re hoping that contracts will be exchanged in time for Mr and Mrs Wilcox to enjoy their ruby anniversary during September,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove Homes. “We’ve enjoyed working with the couple to personalise designs so that the house meets their requirements for retirement, and we’re sure they will be very happy in the area as it is close to a variety of amenities, yet is in a secluded location.”
