Regional growth sparks land hunt
26 August 2004
With demand for homes in the East Midlands at an all-time high, property developer Fairgrove Homes is now searching for new development land in the North Notts area.
“We’ve had tremendous success with our developments throughout Nottinghamshire in the past couple of years and we now want to continue to meet consumer demand for interesting homes in the area,” says Steve Midgley, Managing Director of Fairgrove Homes. “We are currently looking for land measuring between 0.5 acres and 2.0 acres – although larger sites will be considered.”
With a broad range of people choosing to live in the North Notts area, Fairgrove’s hunt for land is taking in locations as varied as urban, suburban and rural. “We know that everyone wants a home – not a house – so we aim to find land in a diversity of locations where our customers can really put their mark on their property. If people know of any greenfield – or brownfield – sites that they think are ripe for development, we’d be interested in hearing from them,” says Steve. “We’ve designed and built homes in 0.5 acre back gardens of large existing properties as well as in converted mills and farms, so we’re always open to suggestions about possible future locations.”
Previous Fairgrove customers who bought houses in the area chose their property partly because of its location. “Our customers are typically family buyers or professionals – and we aim to meet their demands for a location that has good local amenities, excellent transport links and to be in the catchment area for the school of their choice,” says Steve. “We know that more people are recognising the potential of North Notts, and we want to play our part in helping the area develop and prosper.”
