East Midlands, [21 February 08] When it comes to buying a home, people use many sources of information. So, in addition to using the usual channels such as brochures, newspaper advertising and web sites, Ilkeston-based Fairgrove Homes has now created a Facebook site to showcase some of its latest developments.

“Some of our developments – such as the location in Quantum, Piccadilly, off Highbury Vale – have been created with the needs of technically savvy people in mind,” explains Simon Midgley, marketing executive at Fairgrove Homes. “So it makes sense to make them aware of our developments through the channels they use most frequently.”

Fairgrove’s development at Quantum has been created with a future-proof design that is truly innovative. “We’ve taken flexible living to a new level with Quantum,” explains Simon. The properties have been specially designed to enable a wide range of owners to use the space in the most appropriate way. He adds: “Built over three levels, these are perfect homes for families with teenagers or for young professionals working in Nottingham. And because of the flexibility that these homes offer, they provide great opportunities for investors in the city. This is the ideal spot, close to the tram station, making the city centre easily accessible. And with the M1 motorway also close by, it’s convenient for getting anywhere in the country.”

Fairgrove’s Facebook site gives homebuyers a chance to view some of the latest pictures of the firm’s developments, and also keeps them fully up-to-date with the progress being made on current and future sites. “More of our clients are interested in new technologies, so it makes sense that we try to meet those needs,” explains Simon. “Facebook is a good social networking site, and many people take the time to visit it at least once a day. There are more than 64 million active Facebook users worldwide with more than 8 million in the UK alone. What interests us is the fastest growing demographic of Facebook users, the 25 years and older age-group – just the type of people who are interested in our properties.”
