New technical administrator for Fairgrove
East Midlands, [29 August 2007] Tina Dilks has joined Ilkeston-based Fairgrove Homes as the firm’s technical administrator.
In her new role, Tina will be assisting Fairgrove’s technical manager Dan Stack with preparation of technical documents including planning and control applications, site drawing and specifications and site evaluation packs. In addition, she will be involved in continually monitoring and reviewing procedures in the department to ensure all aspects of the design and planning process are up to date and streamlined.
“Tina has much to offer the Fairgrove team,” says Dan. “She has great people skills which are backed up by her solid administration background as well as experience in areas such as health and safety, ensuring that she has already made her mark on the company.”
Tina joins Fairgrove from ECHG, where she was business unit administrator for its central England hub, working closely with directors and the management team to implement a series of business-wide projects. She was also responsible for health and safety, and has recently passed a series of Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) health and safety exams.
“Successfully building and selling new homes requires a versatile team of staff who work well with a broad cross-section of people. We think we’ve found this with Tina. She has already fitted in well with the Fairgrove culture, and is showing that she has the drive and the ambition to support us moving forward,” says Steve Midgley, managing director of Fairgrove. “Her new homes experience is largely with Registered Social Landlords (RSL) and local government, but these skills are easily transferable to private new homes – and processes such as housing, planning and highways acts are the same regardless of whether you’re working in the public or the private sector!”
Tina, who lists her hobbies as travel, F1 motorsport and motorcycle racing, is looking forward to the opportunities ahead. “Working for a rapidly growing new home builder will present many opportunities and challenges – and I’m looking forward to being part of the team that will make things happen in the future,” she says. “I’ve already met a number of my new colleagues and am excited by the diversity of activity within the company. The pace of change is moving swiftly for house builders who are innovating like never before. It’s also a challenging time demanding a huge response in respect of the environmental agenda. I am looking forward to working with the team here at Fairgrove to meet the government’s ambitious zero carbon targets.”
