Local Info
The peaceful and picturesque village of Breadsall is situated on the outskirts of Derby and is famous for its Priory.
Breadsall Priory is thought to have been built in the middle of the 13th century, and the Grandfather of Charles Darwin, Erasmus Darwin, lived there briefly in the early 1800's followed by his son Francis Darwin. Now the house is a Grade II listed building and currently a Marriott hotel with two 18 hole golf courses.
Breadsall is located next to woodland and has a cornershop, village green, sportsfield and community centre, but it's within easy reach of Derby centre and has good road links being only minutes away from the A38 and the A52.
