East Midlands, [02 January 2008] Another year of impressive growth for Fairgrove Homes Ltd has resulted in the Ilkeston-based new homes firm expanding its ranks to keep up with demand.
“As we enter 2008, I’m really pleased to report that our staff numbers are continuing to grow so that we can exceed customer expectations in every part of the Fairgrove Organisation,” explains the firm’s managing director, Steve Midgley.
This time, the company is welcoming James Midgley and Simon Midgley to the ranks of the family firm. “Both James and Simon join Fairgrove on their own merit,” says Steve. “They’ve both gained experience with other firms and I’m proud to be able to welcome two skilled individuals into the company.”
James, a boating enthusiast who enjoys exploring new places, joins Fairgrove as an assistant land buyer. “Demand for our new homes is as strong as ever,” says Steve. “James’s role will be instrumental in ensuring we keep up with this demand in great East Midlands locations.”
James joins Fairgrove following a period working as a trainee quantity surveyor at Miller Construction. He says: “I’m pleased to be stepping into this new role at Fairgrove and applying some of the skills I gained in my last job to help drive its development plans.” James will be responsible for searching for land available in both green field and brown field locations, and visiting areas to assess their suitability for sustainable new homes development. He says: “I’m looking forward to researching locations throughout the region and playing a role in finding hot spots where we can create new communities.”
Joining James at Fairgrove is older brother Simon, who has taken on the newly-created role of marketing executive. Following a degree in business information systems in Bristol, Simon has been cutting his teeth in sales and marketing roles in both the west of England and the East Midlands, where he has been responsible for matching clients’ requirements with some of the latest products in the automotive industry. A keen sportsman, Simon – who will be involved in marketing decisions across the firm’s business divisions – lists his hobbies as rugby, working out at the gym and networking. He says: “I’m looking forward to promoting the Fairgrove brand and developing the business throughout the East Midlands and beyond. I’ll be representing the firm at events throughout the country, such as the Home Building and Renovating shows in Harrogate and Birmingham, and will also be involved in the design stage of marketing literature as well as our online marketing efforts.”
“Simon’s job will be very much hands on,” explains Steve. “His people skills will play a key role in all aspects of our business development.”
